Simon is a Mining Engineer with 13 years experience in the mining industry. He has worked exclusively in underground mines in operational, technical and management roles.
Simon has garnered strong leadership and people management skills with both site and head office experience. He has also worked with owner and contractor models.
His deep technical experience on underground operations includes numerous engineering positions onsite including ventilation, production, projects, planning and pastefill.
Simon was Underground Manager at Waroonga complex, Agnew Gold Mine in Western Australia for 2 years.
Prior to starting with Lifezone Metals in 2022, he successfully managed and gained approvals for a Feasibility Study at Granny Smith Mine for Gold Fields.
Simon holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineering with first class honours from the West Australian School of Mines (Curtin University) and also holds a First Class Mine Managers certificate (FCMM) in Western Australia.
